One thing most people don't know about getting to Silverstone

Silverstone does not permit vehicle drop-off directly at the circuit gates — this applies to all vehicles, including taxis and ride-share services. However, a pre-booked private car gets you significantly closer than a train from London ever will — and without the shuttle bus, the crowds, or the multiple connections.

We drop you at the closest available point to the circuit, your driver handles the road conditions and event traffic management, and your journey in is far simpler than anything involving a Park and Ride or a crowded train.

How far in advance should I book?

The British Grand Prix is the largest motorsport event in the UK — over 480,000 visitors across four days. We recommend booking by the end of  May 2026 to guarantee your vehicle, your chauffeur, and your preferred timing for each day you are attending.

What booking options are available for Silverstone?

Crownwood Charters offers hourly hire with a 5-hour minimum, or full day hire for the British Grand Prix. We do not offer one-way transfers — every booking includes your outward journey, chauffeur waiting time, and your return journey home.

Can you cover multiple days of the Grand Prix weekend?

Yes. We cover all four days — Thursday concert, Friday Sprint Qualifying, Saturday Sprint Race, and Sunday Grand Prix. For multi-day bookings, we can assign a consistent chauffeur for the full weekend.

What about the post-race traffic on Sunday?

This is exactly where a pre-booked chauffeur earns its place. When you book us for full-day hire, your driver is waiting at the agreed collection point when you are ready to leave. We navigate the post-race road management system so you are moving while others are still in the car park.

Can you collect us from Heathrow for the British Grand Prix?

Yes. Heathrow to Silverstone is approximately 60 miles and around 75 minutes in normal conditions. We track your flight, include 60 minutes of free waiting time, and your private driver meets you in arrivals with a name board.

Can you accommodate groups for the Grand Prix weekend?

Yes. The Mercedes V-Class seats up to 6–7 passengers comfortably. For larger groups, we can coordinate multiple vehicles — contact us to discuss your group size and requirements.

Do you sign NDAs for corporate bookings?

Yes. Non-disclosure agreements are available on request and are standard for our corporate and VIP clients attending the British Grand Prix.
