The Wimbledon Championships (29 June – 12 July 2026) are the pinnacle of the British summer. However, the logistics of SW19 are notoriously difficult. The area has strict road closures, limited parking, and significant crowds.

• Unpredictable Weather: The British summer is famously fickle. You might face sweltering 30°C heat or sudden torrential downpours. A chauffeur ensures you arrive in air-conditioned comfort or stay perfectly dry, regardless of what the skies over Centre Court decide.

• The "Hill" Factor: The walk from Southfields or Wimbledon station is steep, crowded, and takes over 20 minutes. Avoid the exhaustion before play even starts by getting dropped off as close as permitted.

• Traffic Volume: Church Road and Somerset Road face heavy congestion. A professional driver navigates the back roads while you enjoy a glass of Pimm's.

• Parking Difficulty: Public car parks are on grass (often muddy) and require a long walk to the gates. *

1. Return Trip (Recommended)

The most popular choice for Centre Court and No.1 Court ticket holders. We drop you off for the start of play and return to collect you at a pre-arranged time or when play finishes.

2. Full-Day Chauffeur Hire

The ultimate luxury. Your vehicle stays within proximity to the AELTC all day. This is essential if you want to leave hampers in the car, or if you want the flexibility to leave immediately if the rain stops play.

3. One-Way Transfer

A direct drop-off service. While available, we advise caution: hailing a black cab in Wimbledon Village after the matches is exceptionally difficult.

Distance from London: Wimbledon is only 8-10 miles from Central London, but traffic is dense. Allow 60-90 minutes.

Drop-off Points:

Debenture Holders: Can often access car parks closer to the grounds.

General Admission: Drop-offs are strictly regulated to avoid congestion on Church Road. We use the closest permissible points.

Weather Ready: Our vehicles carry umbrellas, ensuring you stay dry during the transfer if the British summer takes a turn.

Frequently asked questions

Can you drop us off at the front gate?

Strict road closures apply on Church Road during the tournament. Only vehicles with specific AELTC car park passes can enter the inner ring. For all others, we drop off at the closest authorised point, usually a short walk (5-10 mins) from the gates.

What happens if the match goes late (5 sets)?

If you book a Return Trip or Full Day Hire, your chauffeur waits. We monitor the match schedules. If you book a One-Way, you risk being stranded as local transport is overwhelmed.

Do you provide parking passes?

No, parking passes must be purchased directly from the AELTC. If you have a pass, please provide it to us in advance so we can display it and access the reserved areas.

Can I leave items in the car?

Only if you book Full Day Hire. For standard Return Trips, the vehicle may leave the area and return later, so belongings cannot be stored.

What are the dates for Wimbledon 2026?

The Championships run from Monday 29th June – Sunday 12th July 2026.
